July 30 Health Care Round-Up

Update: Barney Frank admits that the “public option” is the path to Universal Health Care.

There’s so much going on in the health insurance/health care debate every day. I wish someone was collecting all the research and all the articles in one place. The state-run media spends the biggest part of each day obfuscating, pontificating, and misleading on the details of the issue. Much of the state-run media is so sold on their perceptions of Mr. Obama’s intentions that they, as so-called professional journalists fail to do their job of asking the hard questions and furthering the debate. For example, each day, journalists and media types on all sides of the debate cite “Obama’s Health Care Plan” when Mr. Obama has NONE!

President Obama has talked in his usual disingenuous platitudes and made America sick in the process. The President has not proposed a bill, and attaches no detail or funding sources in anything he says. He is a political adolescent lacking the sophistication to navigate these disconcerted, frantic waters.

They’re Still Not Reading the Bills

AJ Strata has a lot more on the Obama Poll Crash

We should be thinking more about Newt Gingrich’s proposal on health insurance reform:

Democrat Message to Seniors: Drop Dead

Congresswoman Ginny Brown Waite is calling out the democrats in the House of Representatives for the horrific bill that they have proposed. All senior Citizens need to read and understand what the congress and President Obama may do to them.

Obama’s numbers are Dropping Fast

Ed Morrissey hits the nail on the head when it comes to President Obama’s declining poll numbers.

Tax-and-spend programs will do that.  Ever since Barack Obama arrived in Washington, he’s gone on a Blame America tour abroad and spent money (or at least tried to spend money) at an astonishing rate not seen in decades.  America has awoken to the fact that they elected a radical, not a moderate, which they might have known had the media done its job on Barack Obama’s political track record in and out of office, as David Freddoso did in his book The Case Against Barack Obama.

Obama also got hammered on his response to the arrest of Henry Gates.  In polling taken on Friday and Saturday, after the White House has started its retreat on Obama’s assertion that the police “acted stupidly,” only 26% believed that Obama’s answer was “good” or “excellent”.  Sixty-three percent rated it “fair” or poor”, as did 40% of Democrats and 67% of independents.  Black voters supported Obama 71%-28%, but they voted for Obama in the last election 96%-4%, which indicates ambivalence even in this demographic (only 21% rated it “excellent”).  Obama lost a plurality of the youngest voters, 49%-45%, but lost all others by large majorities ranging from 60%-73%.

But was it right to ask the question in the first place?   Lynn Sweet gets second-guessed by a narrow plurality overall, 43%-41%, and most interestingly, by a majority of black voters, 58%-28%.

I doubt we’ll see any prime-time press conferences for a while.  I also think it may be a while before Lynn Sweet gets to ask a question at any Obama press briefing.

Ask your Congressman: Did You Read It

A simple message that the voters need to know about and ask about: “did you read it?” “Did you read the bill?” As voters, we deserve to know if these people are reading the bills on which they vote.

Of course, President Obama isn’t reading any bills either. He doesn’t support any bills. He just keeps talking in broad, unachievable platitudes.

Barbara Boxer: Queen of Sophistry

Sophistry: subtly deceptive reasoning or argumentation. I’m not sure about how subtle it was, but Barbara Boxer made a complete fool out of herself. As usual, Fox News and the blogs are the only source of information on this outrage! Let’s not allow this story to die.
