Jimmy Carter Lies Again!

There is a video playing this moment at the Democrat National Convention. Jimmy Carter claims that Katrina proves that Katrina proves that “the government can’t take care of its own people.”

Who gave Carter the idea that Government was supposed to “take care” of its people? Whose constitution did Carter observe when he was President. Carter says that people took their “own initiative.” He is marveling at this new concept. Welcome to our America, Mr. Carter. America is about the freedom and liberty to take care of oneself and one’s family.

Mr Carter! Look at Mississippi….Governor Hayley Barber took great care of the situation there. The failure of Katrina was a failure of state government. Bringing up the tired lie of Katrina to bash George Bush is beneath the dignity of a former President. But, we have come to expect no less from Carter.
