Barbara Walters is Lying Again
We have caught Barbara Walters lying before. She actually wants us to believe that there was no cat fight last Friday between Whoppi and Elizabeth. Barbara tried to make Elizabeth shut-up. It didn’t work. Now, Barbara and the girls claim that they don’t like the attention. At least Joy Behar didn’t put her foot in her mouth again.
Olbermann and Maddow: Living In Their Own Kookville
Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann seemed to be delighting in their infantile understanding of the situation in Iraq and across the Middle East. In this colliquy, these two “experts” never discuss any ramifications of leaving Iraq immediately. They do not discuss Obama’s changing position on when to leave. They never state that Obama believes that 50,000 service personnel will be left in Iraq. Maddow and Olbermann ignore the success of the past several months.
Could Keith Olbermann even begin to believe his own ludicrous statement that “The purpose of the War in Iraq is to maintain a war in Iraq??” Don’t forget to check out the Olbermann Watch.
Dirty Harry’s Out of Touch
It seems like Dirty Harry Reid is out of touch with Obama’s plans to leave the troops in Iraq for another sixteen months-at least. Obama is leaving room for a force numbering 50,000 being left behind after the withdrawal. Reid takes a potshot at President Bush for not bringing the troops home now. Earth to Harry Reid: Obama would not bring the troops home immediately either! I’m sure there is a clip somewhere with Harry Reid asking for the troops to be withdrawn immediately.
Do Obama’s Supporters Know This…
I’m wondering if the average Obama supporter knows that it will be at least 2010 before a President Obama gets troops out of Iraq? The nutroots (the kook fringe base that is today’s democrat party) wanted the troops out no later than March of 2008?
Were they so committed to their foreign policy agenda that these kooks have no problem changing their deadline by two years? Well, originally the nutroots were demanding IMMEDIATE withdrawal in 2006! I guess the democrat party does war on an ever sliding scale.
Obama in Iraq: Thanks to the Troop Surge
Update: This member of the nutroots coalition creates her own reality to dismiss the domestic political campaign going on inside Iraq. Wonder what happened to the insistence on “immediate withdrawal” from the 2006 campaign?
Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki seems to be an Obama type flip-flopper. That should be just fine since according to the mainstream media, Maliki has joined Obama in calling for a timetable. It seems, however, that Maliki was for the timetable before he was against it. It is even more interesting that the democrats have flip-flopped on their view of al-Maliki now that he appears to agree with them. A corrected statement will never get the sensalist coverage given to the original sensasionalist argument. This kerfuffule could have its’ origins in al-Maliki’s own campaign.
Sadly, there is a lot more going on than what the media will communicate or that most people will ever hear. Michael J. O’Shea sets the record straight for those who adore Obama. However, Joe Lieberman speaks with a clear voice about Obama’s past ideas. If the United States had followed Obama’s strategy last year, Obama would not be in Iraq today-it wouldn’t be safe! Obama wanted all troops out by March 31, 2008. The stupidity of this idea can not be overstated. However, you won’t read about this in the mainstream media, and no one will ask Obama the question. Allahpundit has a great round-up.
