Flash: Obama Way Ahead of Hillary in New Hampshire

Scott Rasmussen has a new poll that puts Barry Obama far ahead of Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire. Rasmussen came within one or two tenth of a point in predicting the final outcome of the 2004 election. His data has surpassed anyone in reliability and consistency in the last few years. All of today’s Rasmussen data comes from polls taken after the Iowa results were known to New Hampshire voters.

When one sees and hears Obama speak, it is easy to see that he could be nominated. It looks like he’ll win New Hampshire. I wonder what the Clintons have in store for Obama if he does win.

Update: Another Poll showing Obama and McCain pulling way ahead

Just as Kooky Thirty-Five Years Later

Wow. A lot is going on in the Unites States and the world, and George McGovern is writing about impeachment. There’s a reason that Richard Nixon (the most despised politician of the 20th Century) handily defeated George McGovern. Even more interesting is the fact that the Washington Post provides a forum for this nut.

The most egregious passage of McGovern’s writing today are his thoughts on the handling of Hurricane Katrina. He assigns no responsibility to Governor Blanco or Mayor (Chocolate City) Nagin. McGovern is truly a tax and spend, big government liberal.

“In addition to the shocking breakdown of presidential legal and moral responsibility, there is the scandalous neglect and mishandling of the Hurricane Katrina catastrophe. The veteran CNN commentator Jack Cafferty condenses it to a sentence: “I have never ever seen anything as badly bungled and poorly handled as this situation in New Orleans.” Any impeachment proceeding must include a careful and critical look at the collapse of presidential leadership in response to perhaps the worst natural disaster in U.S. history.”

Here’s hoping that Jimmy Carter and George McGovern are given featured speaking roles in this summers Democrat party convention. It would remind America why liberalism has been rejected so many times.

Barack’s Earthquake

January3, 2008 was likely the most politically fascinating day since election day, November 2000. Barack Obama’s amazing win over Hillary Clinton was a an earth shaking moment. Even more amazing was Obama’s acceptance speech. For the first time, Obama held the national stage solo as the political artist of his time. In this election about the future, Obama has gained the upper hand. Watch the speech, and you’ll see why.
