When our forefathers declared independence, they stated “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”. This declaration of Equality and Divine Right is the single defining purpose of the founding or this nation and all other rights and interests are subordinate to this purpose. The Medical Industrial Complex , in collusion with the Elected Representatives of The Government of the People, have usurped our Divine Right to Life in favor of Capital Profit. The Corporate Citizen, in psychopathic pursuit of their established purpose, are now conferred and ordained with the power to determine the dispensation of effort and resources required to protect this most Sacred, Personal and Unalienable Right. Rather, it is the obligation of our community of Natural Citizens to honor the Social Contract bestowed on us as Americans, that the Equality and Unalienable Rights of Mankind be defended with our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.

  5. Forget the notion of equality, this has nothing to do with the issue nor is there any such notion of a Divine Right of Equality in scripture. Quite the opposite, in fact. The notion of equality within the declaration was not even applied at the time of it’s signing. Truthfully, it’s only real declaration of equality applied to white-male-land owners, and of course anyone who was in the cross-hairs of England. No, before anyone fires back… I am not stating an argument against equality, we have since enacted much legislation, even following the Bill of Rights that covers these ambiguities. I only say this to point out that the whole statement was constructed with no concept of all men being equal, it was more focused on acknowledging the Divine Power (and rightly so).

    However, I agree with the point. As a people, we have declared our rights and freedoms and invested ourselves with the duty to protect them. We have not elected politicians to protect our liberties for us. One of those basic rights is based in capitalism, after all, who came here to be a peasant without land or opportunity (voluntarily)? So, given there is no argument on the rights to amass wealth, then it is absurd for anyone, epically a US Senator, to say that we as individuals will not be allowed to utilize our gains to create a disparity between ourselves and others by purchasing superior health care from independent practitioners.

    I get angry at this whole point (you can’t tell, right?). See, I have a significant illness for which I need a high degree of medical care and treatment, and I always will. Because of this, I have structured my life, finances, and business in such a way as to ensure that I can provide the means for such treatment… For myself. I’ll be damned if anyone is going to tell me, and I hope the majority are with me, that I must submit to my demise as determined by a state run entity (what the hell, Canada might as well run it for us, they have the experience!).

    What happens here, this is where you will see equality turned on it’s face, Mexicans and Canadians are already coming here (at the urging of their governments) to receive health care. If free-market is abolished in the health care industry. Obviously, it will leave a void that our educated will take advantage of by creating a black-market health care system. Desperate foreigners and immigrants (legal or otherwise) will also turn to that option because there is no one left on the continent to take care of everyone should we mirror ourselves after a failed system. So, the only people who will receive decent health care will be those who seek it outside of the law. So, the poor and law-abiding will be placed at a MUCH greater disadvantage because of some silly attempt at introducing fairness into a system with no such notion. What then, will be the effect? The liberals would blame those damn conservatives (like me) for usurping their legislation and creating inequity between the people.

    Where am I wrong? I must have missed something, because I don’t hear anyone on our side of the isle talking about the very real international disaster that would result from a socialist health care system, nor the plight of minorities, poor, uneducated, elderly, children (you can continue the list with whatever group they use against us in this morning’s headlines) that would ensue, but it would no doubt be those greedy republicans like me who saved and planned for their health care needs who will be blamed across the board for every failure resulting from a very foreseeable meltdown that they are planning. Just a note, I am not an economics or political science major, these things just seem to be the natural course of events unfolding should such a ridiculous piece of “legislation” be passed.

    Sorry, I will wrap this up and I won’t rant anymore. I just think the point (epically since equality was mentioned) is at least obscured if not missing entirely. Let me just say it once more loudly… THE FREE MARKET WILL CREATE CORRECTIONS PROPORTIONATE TO THE NEGLIGENCE OR MALICE OF CONGRESS. It always has, and nothing will stop free men from enjoying the very basic benefits of freedom (insert random quote by any member of the Continental Congress here to support this statement, I can think of a dozen off the top of my head)… And yes, my blood-pressure is fine.
