Weather Forecast: Liberal Blizzard of Icy Air

The next twenty-four hours will be rich with poltical rhetoric as the screeching liberals scream for an exit strategy or redeployment from Iraq. Leading Democrats have been trying to pre-empt and upstage the President since last week. These hysterical liberals and their allies in the mainstream media will fail to point out that there was never an exit strategy in any of the successful wars of the twentieth century. In fact, the loyal opposition never asked for an exit strategy in World War II. The United States remains in Germany today, more than sixty years after the highly successful conclusion to that war.

My good friend, Kevin Hurley has a well stated comment on this blog worthy of printing in this blog post:

The American Left has been hysterically crying for an “exit plan” since the day we invaded Iraq. (Democrats have been about “cutting and running” since day one) But I have yet to hear one Democrat demand to know how the US plans to win. The truth is the Left does not want us to win. This strange obsession with an “exit plan” shows that Democrats are not serious with their criticism of the way the war has been managed. The final proof is that no democrat has been able to come up with any suggestion for what should be changed in order to win in Iraq. Running away from a difficult situation is a sign of poor character and cowardice. Read more »

Trump Writes Rosie a Letter…hilarious

Update: Rosie and Babs keep the feud going with comments on The View today.

Rosie and Donald Trump keep the feud going. The article in today’s New York Post is great. Yes, Barabra Walters lied to the public again for the second time in less than a year. Details can be found in the post below.

Duplicity Defined: Barbara Walters

“Dear Rosie,” the Donald writes, “I hope you are having a wonderful vacation with your wife – you needed the rest.”

Quickly, Trump’s letter turns to address the New York Post story which claimed Rosie engaged in a verbal attack on Barbara Walters and branded her a “liar” yesterday morning before “The View.”

In fact, the Post alleged Rosie verbally sparred with Barbara for a number of things, including not defending her enough while she was on vacation and while Trump visited or phoned in several shows – including Access Hollywood to speak out against her. Trump claimed several times that Barbara told him she does not like Rosie.

Continuing his letter, Trump said he found one point to agree with Rosie on – Barbara Walters’ veracity.

“Actually, I don’t blame you,” he writes. “In fact she lied to both of us! After your maniacal and foolish rant against me two weeks ago, Barbara called me from her vacation (I did not call her) in order to apologize for your behavior. She had heard that I was going to retaliate against you and tried to talk me out of it.” Read more »

Ghost Light: Keeping the Theater from going Dark

The New York Post has more on the congressional shut-down for last night’s football game.

WASHINGTON – Republicans and Democrats in the House found something they can agree on: cutting the work week short so they could watch a college football game last night. The move infuriated some lawmakers who were ready to get down to business.

“We all know the big national championship game is on Monday night,” Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) said earlier yesterday. “But taking an entire day to watch the game isn’t what we should spend part of our five-day work week doing.”

Democrats agreed to put their ambitious “100-hour” agenda on hold out of a “spirit of comity” so that lawmakers could watch Florida pummel Ohio State, 41-14, in the BCS championship.

After all, it is the season of broken promises….

Check out these observations from a padded room. Here’s just one great tid-bit: John Conyers –the man who will probably push for a Bush impeachment – just admitted to “possibly” breaking House ethics rules and accepts – get this Orwellian phrase – “personal responsibility.” You do have to hand it to the liberal master wordsmiths, they can always make bad sound good and good sound bad – at a whim.
