Fat Fools Protest Record High Temperature…
Only in New York City could you find citizens engaging in a silent protest of warm January weather. You really have to pity these gentlemen…a silent protest of what? God…mother nature?
While everyone I know is ready for at least a little light winter weather, no one with an average intellect is contemplating a futile protest. Read the whole article, and have your laugh for what it’s worth…

The Party of Broken Promises
Wow! First these liberals said that they wanted “bipartisanship,” yet they upstaged, slammed, and pre-empted President Bush by decrying him in a letter before he could ever speak on changing course in Iraq.
Then, they refused to open up the rules of the house to increase the role of the minority party. this was their second broken promise.
Now, they say that they, the majority party, the liberal democrats will not enact all of the recommendations of the 9-11 commission. A third broken promise in two legislative days? What does this portend for the future?
They also led us to believe that they would have a legislative fury in the first 100 hours. Well, none of their items have even been addressed in the first 16-20 hours of work, and now we find out that liberal time keepers like Nancy Pelosi did not mean the first one hundred hours of work. She meant the first one hundred hours once they decided to start counting. Only in Washington DC….
Another Distraction for the Broadway Theater Patron
Courtesy of the New York Times, we have the latest fad from the world of commercial theater. The number of distractions in a broadway houses, where tickets sell for more than $100 is increasingly ridiculous. What ever happened to lunch, dinner, or supper before or after the theater…
PATTI LuPONE was playing Mrs. Lovett in “Sweeney Todd” early last year when she looked out from the stage of the Eugene O’Neill Theater and saw something she had never seen before in a Broadway theater: a popcorn war.
“There were two people in the front row sharing a bag of popcorn,” she said recently. “When she stuck her hand in, he immediately stuck his hand in. They were wrestling for the last few kernels of popcorn while we were performing. Everyone around them was distracted.” Read more »
The Democrat Contract with Al Qaeda
AJ Strata makes a strong case for a democrat contract with Al Qaeda. It seems that they are taking the steps to fulfill the contract with the first step being to surrender Iraq. One would think that the Ford funeral and the unanimous agreement on the value and understanding of his presidency would at least make the liberals pause in their strident crtique of the Bush administration. It would seem that these democrats would want to avoid over-reaching and misinterpreting the results of the Fall election. Remember how Kennedy, Kerry, and Byrd criticised Reagan? History has shown these democrats to be blatantly wrong on every major forgein policy issue in the last fifty years.
The democrat strategy to surrender Iraq now is every bit as short-sighted and their support for a nuclear freeze, their lack of support for South Vietnam, their support of detente with the Soviet Union, their lack of support and funding for the United States military, their lack of support and funding for the intelligence agencies. and their refusal to deal with terrorists throughout the 1990’s.
Mr. Strata has it right! Read more »
Kool Aid Drinker of the Week: Andrea Mitchell
Andrea Mitchell states on Bill O’Reilly that NBC, ABC, and CBS have no bias in their news coverage. She also denies that she is a liberal, and denies that Chris Matthews is a liberal. From News Busters and Hot Air:
It was hard to tell what was making Andrea Mitchell angrier: Bill O’Reilly’s assertions that NBC has a liberal bias, or his repeated and perhaps ungentlemanly references to the lady’s “30 years” of experience. In any case, the look on Andrea’s face was unmistakable: she was not the happiest of campers.Mitchell appeared on this evening’s Factor for purposes of touting her new book. But kudos to O’Reilly for taking the occasion to directly confront a leading NBC light with the network’s undeniable leftward tilt – which Mitchell proceeded to flatly deny.
This is must-see video, which you can see here, but let me entice you with these two tidbits.
Mitchell on Chris Matthews: “I don’t think he’s a liberal thinker.”
And later: “I don’t feel there is bias in what we do at NBC News. And I don’t think there’s bias in CBS or ABC.”
With due respect to Mitchell, whose scrappiness I admire, if someone won’t admit that Chris Matthews is liberal, why should we believe her when she tells us it’s raining?
The New Bi-Partisanship: It lasted one day!
First of all, Pelosi and company reneged on their promise to open up the house rules. They are so “busy” in the first one hundred hours passing legislation that will NEVER get through the senate. Now, on day two, they threw their version of bi-partisanship overboard to continue blasting the President as if they were still the screeching minority party that they were for so many years.
As Cindy Sheehan reminded them this week, these democrats have to act as if they are prepared to govern. They can vote to cut off the funding of the troops at any time that they may choose. Instead, they want to play to their home crowd over at NBC and MSNBC and make strident, irresponsibile statements like the one highlighted below in the New York Post.
January 6, 2007 — One day after taking control of Congress, the Democrats yesterday declared war on President Bush – as they threatened to block any move to send more U.S. troops to Iraq.
“Adding more combat troops will only endanger more Americans and stretch our military to the breaking point for no strategic gain,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wrote Bush, even as the president prepared to announce exactly that in a speech to the nation next week.
The Democrats vowed to flex their new majority muscle in the House and Senate to force Bush to seek approval before deploying any further forces.
New Assistant Senate Majority Leader Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) said Congress may also try to cap the number of troops in Iraq. That would place top Democrats smack on a collision course with Bush, who is believed to be prepared to authorize a “surge” of 20,000 to 30,000 additional troops.
Reid and Pelosi said what was needed was the exact opposite of the new Bush strategy.

Charles Krauthammer has a great piece on the botched hanging of Sadaam Hussein. As usual, Charles brings clarity to this clouded picture, and facts that you won’t read anywhere else.
Bob Novak has one of his newsy, combination columns that remind me of Brit Hume’s political grapevine. It’s worth the quick read.
WASHINGTON — Publication of Rudy Giuliani’s secret campaign plan has so embarrassed Florida’s new Gov. Charles Crist that supporters of Sen. John McCain fear it might backfire against their campaign for the Republican presidential nomination.
The 140-page dossier was found on a Crist aircraft during his campaign for governor when former New York City Mayor Giuliani was in Florida supporting him. With an early 2007 test scheduled for Florida, Crist’s support could be critical. McCain has been considered the early favorite to win his backing.
Some McCain supporters fear Crist might be offended by efforts of John Weaver, McCain’s political adviser, to take advantage of the misplaced Giuliani document. “I thought it was a security company,” Weaver said of Giuliani’s consulting company. His comments prompted speculation that Weaver was responsible for making the dossier public.
The democrat party leaders are pressuring Bush to cut and run. These liberal leaders are stunning in their audacity and stupidity.

MsUnderestimated has it all together when it comes to crazy Cindy Sheehan. Read it and literally weep.
Andrea Mitchell made a pitful defense of NBC News as unbiased on Friday night’s O’Reilly program. She is pitiful. So is Chris Matthews.
