Moonbat of the Week

This is really a ridiculous story. A person can get twenty-eight months for treason? Thanks, Jay for this wonderful post.

After begging for mercy, terrorist supporting jihad lawyer Lynne Stewart recieved the light sentence of 28 months. A slap on the wrist for a traitorous moonbat.

Civil rights lawyer Lynne Stewart was sentenced this afternoon to 28 months in prison on a terrorism charge for helping an Egyptian sheik communicate with his followers on the outside.

The 67-year-old Stewart, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, smiled as the judge announced his decision to send her to prison for less than two-and-a-half years. She had faced up to 30 years in prison.

Stewart’s defense lawyer, Elizabeth Fink told the judge just before the sentence was pronounced: “If you send her to prison, she’s going to die. It’s as simple as that.’’

Stewart was convicted in 2005 of providing material support to terrorists. She had released a statement by Omar Abdel-Rahman, a blind sheik sentenced to life in prison after he was convicted in plots to blow up five New York landmarks and assassinate Egypt’s president.

Dayton Daily Democrat Parrots The New York Times

Update: The Dayton Democrat and the Treason Times have it all wrong. Viking Spirit Blog has the truth! I wish that I had more time to write and investgate this matter.  If Ohio conservative voters will turn out, Dewine can still win! Moonbats Ranting…

Since when does the Dayton Daily News (democrat) copy stories in total from theTreason Times and print it as if it were fact? On Sunday, the Daily News endorsed Dewine, yet they had today’s fabrication replete with screeching headline ready to go to stab Dewine in the back. The democrat strategy to depress conservative turn-out is patently obvious, and the liberals know that this is the only way that they can win.

WASHINGTON — Senior Republican leaders have concluded that Sen. Mike DeWine of Ohio, a pivotal state in this year’s fierce midterm election battles, is likely to be heading for defeat and are moving to reduce financial support for his race and divert party money to other embattled Republican senators, party officials said.

The decision to effectively write off DeWine’s seat, after a series of internal Republican polls showed him falling behind his Democratic challenger, Rep. Sherrod Brown of Avon, is part of a fluid series of choices by top leaders in both parties as they set the strategic framework of the campaign’s final three weeks — signaling, by where they are spending television money and other resources, the Senate and House races where they believe they have the best chances of success.

Republicans are now pinning their hopes of holding the Senate on three states — Missouri, Tennessee and, with Ohio now off the table, probably Virginia — while trying to hold on to the House by pouring money into districts where Republicans have a strong historical or registration advantage, party officials said Sunday.

Vote for Dewine
