Democrat Finger Prints
It is widely accepted as common sense that the democrats used the Foley mess as an October surprise. The liberals seem fairly smug and satisfied with themselves, and the mainstream press will supress any stories of this nasty mess until after the election. AL Strata, who was mentioned on Rush today, will not allow the story to drop. His journalistic skills and determination are remarkable.
How much clearer is this? Foley’s challenger knew in Spring of 2006 Foley was a supposed danger to kids in the Page program (according to how the Democrats and media tell the story). So why did he and his campaign leave the risk out there? Why not expose Foley right away? Answer:Political Strategy. Timing the story may allow Foley to snag another kid or two, but timing the story’s release would give Democrats something much more – POWER!
Thanks AJ, and congratulations on the mention by Rush.
Only Kook Keith Olbermann Deserves This…
From The New York Post comes a story that only Keith Olbermann deserves. The story fits his on air profile as a bully with a tin ear.
October 9, 2006 — A BROWN-haired beauty who claims she had an unsatisfying one-night stand with Keith Olbermann is getting her sweet revenge – she’s launched a blog to warn other women about the acerbic MSNBC commentator’s boorish bedroom habits.
The bitter babe, who calls herself KarmaBites1, says she doesn’t want others “to fall into the same trap . . . and I want him to feel some remorse for what he’s done . . . He sets his mind on a woman, lures her in, and once he gets what he wants, he refuses to ever speak to them again. And I don’t think he understands the damage he’s caused.”
A 30-something office worker of Caribbean descent, KarmaBites1 said she struck up an e-mail friendship with Olbermann, whom she admired, and agreed to fly to New York to meet him last May. She says he came to her hotel room and opened a bottle of Merlot which he “spilled all over.” Then, when “sexual activity began [in] less than an hour,” Olbermann had difficulty. “I pretended he knew what he was doing,” the embittered blogger writes. “I adored the guy. I didn’t want him to think he was a dud in bed,” so she faked experiencing ecstasy.”
Misunderestimating Republican Strength
We have already started a conversation that is continued in Thursday’s New York Sun. While the liberal media attempts to confirm a democrat victory with every story they publish or air, there are other opinions and views on the current political situation. The democrats are now established as the party to beat this November 7, and without a huge democrat win, they will have lost in the war of perception. At this point, the liberals have to win everything really big in order to have a meaningful victory.
“Pollsters and pundits are falling all over themselves predicting that the Republicans will lose control of the House and Senate in next month’s congressional election. However, President Bush, often misunderestimated as a politician, offered a different view in yesterday’s press conference in the Rose Garden. “I still stand by my prediction, we’ll have a Republican speaker and a Republican leader of the Senate,” Mr. Bush said. “We’ll maintain control because we’re on the right side of the economic issue and the security issue,” Mr. Bush said.”
“Well, we’re not going to gainsay Mr. Bush’s prediction. The economy is growing so strongly that, as the president said yesterday, he reached his goal of cutting the deficit in half — three years ahead of schedule. The stock market is soaring, and unemployment is low. Not a situation in which the Democrats tax record looks inviting. The Democrats, Mr. Bush warned, “will raise taxes. Now, I know they say only on rich people, but that’s — in my judgment, having been around here long enough to know, it’s just code word. They’re going to raise them on whoever they can raise them on.”
