Ghost Light: Special Birthday Edition

Update: Viking Spirit has an interesting post on Tony Snow’s appearance for Jean Schmidt in Cincinnati today.

AJ Strata has many questions about the blizzard of Foley email messages and questions their authenticity.

The “Friday Follies” regarding the Foley feeding frenzy is informative and extremely well done.

In “Desperately Ignoring Foley,” Noel Shepherd makes the clear case for Hastert for Speaker over Nancy Pelosi. Remember to vote republican this November 7-it’s important.

Read about the “Worst October Surprise Ever.”

The American Spectator says, “They’ll Regret It,” of the liberals overplaying the Foley scandal this week.

The Gateway Pundit says that the Planned Scandal Fizzles.

It looks like Nutty Ned is down for the count.

Betsy says that High School is the new college. She has a point. With a little more emphasis on all that the performing arts can do for students and the school community, this would be a perfect article.

The Manhattan Elites are at it again. Simply because the new production of the 1976 musical “A Chorus Line” doesn’t ring with the dead beat values of radical 1970’s liberalism, the elites think that the revival is something less than worthwhile. How stupid. The world has moved on, and “A Chorus Line” did not turn out to be so sweeping after all. It’s another musical, and I’ll bet it’s wonderful. The New York Sun has a better perspective.
Charles Krauthammer is wonderful and tells it like it is. Charles is demanding full victory.

Who Knew Congressman Foley was a Closeted Democrat” is Ann Coulter’s latest offering. In a week like this one, we need Ann’s acerbic wit.

Make Every Vote Count…

All we have heard from the liberals since November 2000 is the tired mantra “count every vote.” And yes, the liberals are for counting every vote including counting some votes twice when the vote counting is from some democrat bastion of urban voters. But, when a basic issue of fairness and genuine concern about providing the opportunity to have a choice in an election is brought forward, the silence from liberals is deafening. There are currently two seats in the House of Representatives that are being forfeited by the Republicans as the conservative party complies with the letter of the law.

One is the Mark Foley seat in Florida where the law prevents placing another name on the ballot after the primary. The same guideline is preventing Tom Delay’s name from being removed from the ballot in Texas. The law is the law, and we understand and support the intention of the law.

If for no other purpose than saving face, why aren’t the liberals demanding that a choice be offered to all voters so that every vote will be counted and will matter this November. Why aren’t these liberals screeching about all the voters that are “disenfranchised” (using their synthetic term of equality employed so often since 2000)? Why don’t these liberas recall when they got Frank Lautenberg’s name on the ballot illeagally in Novermber 2004? Read more »
